How to “DO” KneoWorld

There is no one way to do KneoWorld, just like there is no one way to homeschool.
We have options for you to choose how to best use KneoWorld to enrich your homeschool.
The first option is to follow this curriculum's Weekly Lessons and schedule. If you choosethis option,
everything is already done foryou with clear and simple instructions.
The second option is for you to pick and choose which lessons, stories, and games youwould like your
learner to do. This method will help you if you want to align KneoWorld with your core curriculum or if
you want your learner to review specific skills and concepts based on their individual needs.
Week 1 is an introduction to KneoWorld and the KneoWorld Explorers. Each KneoWorld Lesson after
Week 1 contains the following parts that you can (but don’t have to) follow:
Monday (20 minutes)
Tuesday (20 minutes)
Wednesday (20 minutes)
Thursday (20 minutes)
Friday (20 minutes)

Complete the Preview– each lesson starts with a preview with the purpose of sharing
background knowledge before the story begins.
Do the offscreen game, activity, or worksheet that is explained in the weekly instructions.
Play in Brain Games.
Read this week's story (together or independently).
Play the practice game, comprehension challenge, and play the review game at the end of the story.

Re-read the learning story (together or independently).
Play the practice game, comprehension challenge, and play the review game at the end of the story.

Complete the writing activity explained in the weekly instructions.

Complete the Post-Challenge – each lesson ends with a post-challenge of 4 questions. You can
have your child complete the post-challenge if you are looking for growth data or you can skip it if
you prefer.
